Toronto cont....

Funny things we learned about Toronto......

1. They love donuts. Sorry, I meant to get a picture...but they have a chain called Tim Hortons that is everywhere ( Like a starbucks, but more focused on donuts than coffee)....They were on every street almost...more prolific than McDonalds, now that is scary.
2. If you want to go see a movie, don't ask for directions to a movie theatre...tell them you want to go to the cinemas otherwise they have no idea what you are talking about.

Toronto

Here are a few pics from our weekend in Toronto. We had a great time just spending time together. On Saturday we drove to Niagra falls. It is quite the sight. Justin found this great sign there. I guess they still believe in segregation...men this way...ladies over here. Then we drove in to downtown Toronto to bum around the city and check out some sights. I loved Kensignton Market...very boheimian. My favorite shop was called "Fresh Baked Goods" They had the cutest little girl dresses and Tees...I wanted to get this Tee for Addie so bad, but check out the price tag. Of course, Chinatown was full of hussel and bussel...check out what Justin wanted me to eat for dinner! HMMMM...Yummmy...Not!! Just a few more pics of some fun buildings around town. The last is the CN tower the tallest building in Canada..ehh. Then of course a great pic of me and Justin in the Cockpit....I love my pilot.

My Suprise Birthday Present

Suprise, Suprise...Angie thought her birthday present was getting to go to Toronto for the weekend....But to her suprise Justin came home yesterday with his brother Morgan and a trailer full of goodies...a brand new table, 6 chairs, and a sideboard. I couldn't believe my eyes or Justin. He has been secretly "stashing" money from me that he earned scrapping medal at Carmen's (his job numero 2). We have been borrowing a table for the entire 7 yrs of our marriage, so this is something I have been wanting for a long time.
J...I love you, your thoughtfulness and craftiness are brilliant. What would I ever do without you. I appreciate all that you sacrifice for me and our little growing family.

A picture worth a thousand words...

"Jackson!"

A week with Jackson:

Grounding #1: Jackson pees on the carpet. Grounded.

Grounding#2: Jackson lets himself out of the house and goes to play at a friends' house while I am putting Max to sleep. Grounded and scolded, and then scolded again.

Grounding#3: Jackson sits for 45 minutes not eating his lunch. I leave and return and lunch is miraculously gone. When asked if lunch was eaten or thrown away. Jackson promises he ate it. I open the garbage can and there is lunch in all its garbage glory. Grounded and lectured about lying.

Enough said!

Maxwell gets a new ride...

Maxwell's 6 month check-up:

20.3 oz (weight)
+28.5 inches (length)
------------
=New car seat.

Remember when Kate was a year old and not quite 20lbs?

Tales from the Mini-Van...

Overheard today:

Hunter (Ella's preschool classmate): I want to marry you when I grow up.
Ella: But I have a boyfriend...Trevor. (By the way, this is news to me!)
Hunter (considering): Yeah. I still want to marry you.
Ella (looking down at the ground and shaking her head, thinking seriously): This is a hard choice that I need to make.
Hunter (getting impatient): Let's get married when we get big.
Ella (shy smile and a shrug):  Okay.
Hunter: Sometimes I dream I'm "Hunter the Hero"
Ella: (Long pause of silence...then a little giggle.)  Uhmm...I dreamed about Maxwell last night.
