The O.C.

Yeah, for Sun, Sand, and fabulous people! It was so nice to get away on a family trip. The kids were great and behaved like seasoned travelers...May I recommend always getting a seat for the baby and strapping them in their car seat. No more hour long wrestling matches. Addie charmed everyone she met with her inquisitive, friendly nature and Jacob wooed all the women with his giant smiles. Our first stop was the Santa Ana Zoo, Known for their monkeys, our little monkeys had a blast trying to keep up with all the little animals we encountered.
Beach Day started at the tide pools at Corona Del Mar. We were there bright and early to enjoy a nearly deserted beach thanks to our two little alarm clocks that were so excited they couldn't sleep any longer. We enjoyed the baby crabs and little fish...Justin and Jacob took an unexpected dip in the Ocean, much to Jake's dismay and Addie made friends with the locals so she could share there big beach toy dump truck and shovels. Our next beach stop was Huntington with Jeff and Mer. Addie and Jake are much more fans of the Sand than the surf...so Jeff and Mer buried them over and over again. Jacob was giddy dumping all sorts of sand on Uncle Jeff's towel and even flung a fistful into Mer's mouth.( Sorry, Mer..thanks for being such a great sport.)
Jeff and Mer took us to Ruby's for dinner. A great Americana diner of an era gone by, we enjoyed yummy food and free balloon animals which the kids loved until popping. We topped our calorie laden evening with a little Pinkberry. One feels so much better about desert when it is pomegranate yogurt with toppings such as fresh fruit and Rice balls.
Jeff and Mer it was so great to hang out, laugh and enjoy your fabulous company. Let's do it again soon. Cali..thanks for the beautiful scenery, change of pace, and sand in unmentionable places. Neverlost..thanks for almost never getting us lost as we navigated the massive concrete jungle of the OC freeway.

You know, your kids are the kind I would call "sinkin' cute". They're both dolls! Looks like you had great fun in CA. I like your collages and beach pictures.
