I have been expecting this day for awhile....and have been pretty impressed that we made it this long without stiches or any broken bones. Jake decided we needed a little excitment last night more than he needed a bath. From what I can assertain, he tripped and caught his chin on a kitchen chair while trying to get to his glass of juice on the counter. After lots of tears and blood..we made it to the after hours clinic to get stiches. Jake was really brave about getting his numbing shot and about letting the DR. fix him up!

SIX is Super!!!
Since Dad was working on Addie's Official Birthday....We celebrated all week.Tuesday morning Addie woke up to crate paper and balloon adorning her room and chair in the kitchen. She was so excited she had to open presents right after breakfast.
After lunch we had to have cake and ice cream. ( She wanted to partake of this after breakfast as well and I said "No") After Sam's nap, Addie chose to go swimming at the Aquatic Center as a family.
Thanks GiGi for the Card and money!! Thanks Grandma for the awesome Lego Friends. Jake loved this project as much as Addie!!
She was so excited we had to put some of it together right after we got home...Much to their dismay I made them finish the rest the next day.

SkyWest Celebrates 40 Yrs
SkyWest celebrated 40yrs in business a few weeks ago and held a big party at their Hanger in SLC...It was actually on a night that Justin was home so we loaded up the kids for some free food and entertainment. Every year SkyWest holds a Mini-Indie...the kids(especially the boys) were drooling over these cars. With no brakes or blocks in front of the tires, I had to stop the boys from creating their own Mini-Indi several times. Sam was distraught when I had to pry the steering wheel from his hands. Luckily, the kind man making balloon animals nearby appeased his sadness.
They had lots of games and activities set up. We made and flew paper airplanes through hoops for a t-shirt. Sorted and chucked bags like real Rampers. Raced to pack and unpack a suitcase.
Stood in line forever to get our faces painted and passed the time by swapping war stories with fellow pilot wives. Even Sam got and airplane on his arm which he quickly investigated by generously licking. Thank goodness for non-toxic paint.
Toured a mocked up trainer plane that they use during training to simulate emergencies and practice procedures for all that crazy stuff that happens at 30,000 feet. The kids ate hot dogs and ice cream while we listened to a Flight Attendant jam out Lady Gaga on the accordion. I know what your thinking, but his guy really rocked!! He made the accordion cool with his superb musicianship and witty antics. Good Times...Good Times!!
